Linking

Here you'll [hopefully] learn more about how you link in HTML. Links are probably the most important thing to know (except the basic starting up a page etc.) since it's how you navigate on the Web.

Text link

Regular:
<a href="http://URL to site">name of site</a>
In practice:
<a href="http://callhergreen.com">Call Her Green</a>
Will look like this:
Call Her Green

Open up in a new window:
<a href="http://URL to site" target="_blank">name of site</a>
In practice:
<a href="http://callhergreen.com" target="_blank">Call Her Green</a>
Will look like this: Call Her Green

Info about the link when you hover above it:
<a href="http://URL to site" title="Here you write what you want">name of site</a>
In practice:
<a href="http://callhergreen.com" title="Signe's fan-art">Call Her Green</a>
Will look like this:
Call Her Green

Image link

Regular:
When linking an image, you just put the linking-code around the image, like this:
<a href="http://URL to site"><img src="Image URL"></a>
In practice:
<a href="http://callhergreen.com"><img src="/img.jpg"></a>
Will look like this:

Getting rid of the border:
<a href="http://URL to site"><img src="Image URL" border="0"></a>
In practice:
<a href="http://callhergreen.com"><img src="/img.jpg" border="0"></a>
Will look like this:

Info about the link when you hover above it:
<a href="http://URL to site"><img src="Image URL" border="0" alt="Write what you want here"></a>
In practice:
<a href="http://callhergreen.com"><img src="/img.jpg" border="0" alt="Signe's fan-art"></a>
Will look like this:
Signe's fan-art
