It Hurts It Hurts

Featuring: Bella Swan
Text: Lena Philipson - It Hurts
I'm hungover and do not have the energy nor the mental capacity to explain this piece. It's a terrible song but the text fits. Somewhere in the middle of colouring something snapped... I tried to focus on the confusion la Bella - thereof the duplicated images and general distortion of the piece.

Possibility Possibility

Featuring: Bella Swan
Text: Lykke Li - Possibility
I've been listening to the soundtrack all week and the song Possibility by Lykke Li is one of my favourites, it's so moody and perfect for that time. Now that I've finally got Adobe again, I felt compelled to art it. I chose to focus on the physical pain she goes through as a result of the psychological pain, how she screams in bed and cries herself to sleep - I thought it fitted so well with the lyrics. That is why I put the text so that it centred around "tell me when you hear my silence" - because sometimes she screams out loud without realising. Furthermore, I interpret it like she's screamed for him for so long that she no longer knows it, and therefore don't know (or won't realise) when/if she finally stops.

I wanted it to be quite dark (at least I hope it's dark, I honestly have no idea how it looks on other computers - new laptop and all...) to keep with the moody song, I wanted the piece to really fit the song. I added the dead leaf for two reasons - first, because it's dead, fallen from the tree and on its way to wither away completely. Secondly, because this all takes place during late fall. I wanted Edward to have a part in the piece, but not a large one. Which is why I made it look as if he was fading away (from her) whilst walking out of the piece. I put the line "...gone with your stare" there to accentuate that he's left her.

New Moon: Bella New Moon: Bella

Featuring: Bella/Edward
Text: Dido - Here With Me
The first in a series of four wallapers concentrating on four different perspectives of the aftermath of Edward leaving Bella. This focuses on Bella's perspective.

I made this grey because that's what her world becomes. To "cope" with the pain she numbs herself, which causes her to feel nothing. Thereof the blurry grey. I added the focused/sharp and coloured picture of Edward because that's the only thing she sort of does hold on to, he represents a happier time for her and when she discovers she can hear him whilst doing dangerous things she seeks them out.

New Moon: Charlie New Moon: Charlie

Featuring: Charlie/Bella
Text: Anya Marina - Satellite Heart
The second in a series of four wallapers concentrating on four different perspectives of the aftermath of Edward leaving Bella. This focuses on Charlie's perspective.

I wanted this to be really dark and very sharp and focused. Because Charlie sees everything and Bella's pain is so real, obvious and real to him. He really sees how bad she is - she doesn't really. I really wanted to include caps of her screaming in bed, but there aren't any good ones (I did anyway, but they don't show much).

New Moon: Jacob New Moon: Jacob

Featuring: Jacob/Bella
Text: Death Cab For Cutie - Meet Me at the Equniox
The third in a series of four wallapers concentrating on four different perspectives of the aftermath of Edward leaving Bella. This focuses on Jacob's perspective.

His is the only light one. Because Bella's Dark Ages were ort of his Enlightenment, if you get my drift. It was during this time that their friendship blossomed (flowers!) and though he saw that she was sad, he also saw that he made her happier (he had a "game plan") and he really loved spending time with her. He even fell in love with her. Which is why I made it so light and happy.

New Moon: Edward New Moon: Edward

Featuring: Edward/Bella
Text: Death Cab For Cutie - Different Names for the Same Thing
The fourth in a series of four wallapers concentrating on four different perspectives of the aftermath of Edward leaving Bella. This focuses on Edward's perspective.

This is supposed to correspond with Bella's, in design and emotional purpose. Because they experienced very similar feelings while separated. The major difference, in my opinion is that he went to a much darker place - he didn't even try (like Bella did) to act normal for his family. Which is why I made his black rather than grey. Again I blurred him because his sense of self and purpose was taken away, and have the focused coloured picture of Bella in the middle - is centre and also his source of light. I wanted her to be a bit obscured though - sort of faded - because she's not "his" any more.
