Smallville season nine

Paralyse v.1 Paralyse v.1

Episode: Crossfire
Text: Bloc Party - Halo
I saw the episode yesterday and got inspired. The kiss itself was perfect, the lightning of the scene and the intimacy of it... I made two versions. The first version is a bit more romantic and "traditional". I really focused on playing with the light and make it look as if the kiss actually sparked (non-metaphorically speaking). Since they're both journalists and it was in the newsroom and all that I went for a news-paper type look on the fonts.

Paralyse v.2 Paralyse v.2

Episode: Crossfire
Text: Bloc Party - Halo
When I was done with version one I realised I didn't really like it... The moment just had much more potential and well... It's Superman - how can I not go for comic book?! The best part was that here I could play more on what they (or well...Lois) talk about before the kiss and connect that to the lyrics. See, Lois is upset because a blonde got a job she was supposed to get (apparently blondes get higher ratings). Sadly, the quality of the caps where left wanting, especially the one of the kiss... I did my best.

Say Good-Bye Say Good-Bye

Episode: N/A
Text: Savior
I decided to go against how I see Lois/Clark and go with how Jor-El sees Lois - as an obstacle on his way to becoming the "Ultimate Perfect Hero" aka Superman. How to illustrate this then? Well, I literally made her an obstacle!
It's a bit hard to see, but behind her is the city of Metropolis - and, more exactly, a burning building. (I added some fire-y rain to make it even worse...) And then we have Clark Kent - The Blur (soon to be Superman) - who has a choice: domestic bliss and a normal life with Lois or saving the world. (The whole idea of having both doesn't seem like an option, especially not to Jor-El.)
